Want More Subscribers?

You already have a blog — you’ve been blogging for several months, or a year:

  • How many regular readers do you have?
  • How many first-time visitors are becoming subscribers?
  • How do you get more — tons more — subscribers?
  • Are you sure you’re doing everything you could be doing to grow your list faster?
  • How many subscribers do you want?

You’re already blogging — but are you blogging like I’m blogging?

Do you want to keep growing your readership the way you’re doing it, or do you want to try some of my best-kept secrets?

You only need a few subscribers to generate income — but obviously, the more you have, the more money you make, and the greater your impact…

In June 2006, I began building the Shift Your Spirits list. In August 2006, I launched the Shift Your Spirits blog (in that order — you can build a list without a blog).

My literary agent, who has represented me in developing a fiction series since 2003, turned down a memoir and a set of essays about my personal spiritual experiences. He judged my writings about clairaudient / “psychic” intuition to be “beyond New Age” and “too far out there” for publication. “Fringe market” he said — but, motivated by a higher calling and instruction from my Guides, I argued otherwise and said I had no problem self-publishing and blogging, if necessary, just to get it out there.

He finally threw me a bone — an ultimatum, really — “Call me when you can show me an audience of 10,000.” I’m not sure how long either one of us thought that might take. But this spring, about 9 months after I said I was “going for it” I emailed him to tell him that I was 3/4 of the way to the goal he set for me.

I plan to break the goal of 10,000 regular readers before the end of 2007. My agent changed his mind, and has decided to represent my spiritual non-fiction after all…

PageCoach Spiritual Blogging Feed Count

The goals for Spiritual Blogging are different — I took the small existing list of PageCoach web development clients I had gathered over the past four years (about 57 subscribers) and migrated them to this brand new blog in March 2007, reinventing/ re-focusing myself in the over-saturated Problogging Niche.

The list here is growing at an even faster rate than Shift Your Spirits…

I get asked all the time

“HOW are you doing it?”

My Google “pagerank” or Alexa “rankings” or Technorati “authority” — I’m sure they all relatively “suck” — I moved everything to a new domain in April, 2007 — losing tons of linkage and search engine performance. I don’t care so much, because I can take my hard-earned subscribers with me.

“What about your traffic?”

The vast majority of my first-time raw traffic does not come from search engines. I don’t employ high-traffic advertising revenue as a source of income from my blogs.

“But you don’t even blog every day!”

I write every day, I publish on my blogs at least once a week, sometimes two or three times a week, max. I publish all the time outside the blogosphere.

It’s not a matter of how many articles I publish myself or submit for guest blogging — it’s where I publish, and whose lists I leverage to gain new, highly-targeted readers. The “best” lists — the largest, the most mature — are not attached to blogs.

Have you been blogging now for 6 months or a year? Want to keep doing what you’re doing, or do you want to do what I’m doing?

I’ve released a brand-new 58 page ebook tutorial in PDF format that you can download and start implementing right away. It’s written in the same personal, transparent style as my report The Top 5 Ways I Make Money Blogging. If you’ve read that, then you know what you’re in for — it’s not “coding instructions” or technical screenshots like a large part of PageCoach Problogging 101 — it’s all writing — all marketing — all strategy.

Instead of releasing and then backing off on the price based on how it sells, I’m low-balling this one for a strong launch — $38. (I’ll raise the price in a few months — I want a lot of people to read it and use it and give me some feedback first. Be one of the first 5 people to download Build Your Blog Subscriber List and I’ll put you on the list to receive a free copy of my next tutorial about how to create, self-publish, and sell your own books and ebooks.)

You’re already blogging — you know most of the stuff in the Problogging 101 tutorialyou need an “intermediate” to “advanced” tutorial to take your blogging to the next level
