[…] A decade ago Mandy gave me a copy of Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way inscribed with the message “Sometimes, we have to create the life we want to live.” […]
[…] Margot Adler, in her incredible work on modern Neo-Paganism Drawing Down the Moon, finds a common thread among the witches she interviewed - an instinct for engaging in spontaneous ritual theater at a very early age, despite socialization toward any particular religious tradition. […]
[…] A gal named Miriam put the revival of shamamism and the concept of God-as-a-Girl into a magic of words published under the pen-name Starhawk - that book is called The Spiral Dance. […]
[…] You’ll find some great psychic autobiographies out there, but they tend to record the human drama that surrounds mediumship - the reactions of other people, the social stigma, the coming-of-age stories that revolve around “I’m different from everybody else…” […]
Gift From Daniel
Karen Alexander
I doubt this book is available anyplace
but in resale.
(org published in 1996)
But it’s one of those
books I could read many times over.
Talk about creating a personal “shift”.
Amazon used has it listed for $1.18.
I snagged this ‘overview’ to share
about the book.
Overview:
Like many of us, Karen Alexander was preoccupied with her own life - an average life filled with joy and sadness, with bills and shopping and everyday problems. And she considered herself happy. But while she knew deep down that there had to be more to life than just “getting by,” she never really thought she could reach another level of peace. Then she met Daniel, a spiritual guide who appeared to Karen in the form of a seven-year-old. Daniel’s questions were puzzling. His answers enlightening. His insight made Karen question the way she viewed herself and treated others…even the way she thought about God. And through Daniel’s calm, clear vision, she saw - really saw - what life can be all about. 275 pages.

There is an online book shelf site that I would
like to post about.
You can share your ‘library’ with others,
and connect to those who have the same books.
Here is a link to my shelf which is still
under contstruction with more to add.

Cool, Deb!
Thanks for adding the recommendation - and for telling me about shelfari.com - I had not heard of it!
Fading Towards Enlightenment
Wayne Wirs
Wirs takes me on a magical journey everytime I view of the photographs in this book, and
his written journey touches my soul.
Sharing the Dedication….
“Fading Toward Enlightenment is dedicated to all the
Spiritual Seekers who, in their quest for Inner Peace,
sacrifice some of their Normality, to recognize some of their Divinity.
You may be different - - but you are not alone.”
I’m going to share a link to his book
because he’s not YET one of those well known
authors.

[…] I ran across this exercise in the book Write Your Own Magic by Richard Webster. I can’t recall who the original author of this English Numerical system IS — I’m recreating the following Table and Examples from my own notebooks. […]

[…] If I taught a course on developing intuition, this would be the required text book. Frankly, in this day and age of blogging, I feel that some of the best-known books out there about spiritual development, developing your intuition, or using your inherent psychic abilities are nice – but that’s it. They’re just nice. They present a nice overview of general concepts… Best-selling authors like Laura Day, Doreen Virtue, Sonia Choquette, Richard Webster, or Sylvia Browne wrote ground-breaking books, mostly in terms of when they were published. Were these authors to come on the scene at the same time Andrea did (in the last few years) the general material they have published wouldn’t cut it in my opinion — they could give away the same information through blogs.
