You Are Already Everything You’ve Ever Wanted to Become

This may be the most important message you ever hear. You’ve heard it before. Hear it again:

Ruby Slippers

You are already everything you’ve ever wanted to become. You have always had the power.

What is my purpose in life?
Many of you are asking some form of the Question:

Why am I Here?

The implication being that you must be missing something — that you never had a clue or that you knew but you’ve forgotten — that an answer exists outside you — that there is something yet to happen — that you are not There yet…

There is Here. You are here.

Your purpose in this life has already been fulfilled by your choosing to incarnate. Your mission to serve God is accomplished with every breath you take.

What do I want to be when I grow up?
What or Who you want to be when you grow up is irrelevant — I can tell you with complete certainly that Who you will be is You. If you’re waiting or hoping for some different outcome, you’re going to be waiting forever. You’re also going to be incredibly disappointed.

Stop wasting your time and everyone else’s and forget when you grow up – Grow up now.

Take the Only, the Inevitable, the First, the Greatest Step onto your Path of personal growth and spiritual evolution. Begin by undoing the heartbreaking damage of asking a badly-worded question.

The kind of Answer you receive is directly related to the quality and the specific content — the wording — of the Question itself.

In other words: Ask a better question.

The Western concept of Success was grievously founded on the principle that spiritual beings should be — can be — are to be — defined by their job titles, as opposed to the size and function of their hearts. This, from the same nation that brought us How The Grinch Stole Christmas — go figure…

This dangerous lie that we are the jobs we do and not the soul behind the action is so way-off-base, so far off-target… don’t even bother spitting — you’ll miss.

Fortunately, this great mistake is easily corrected with the most basic word-processing function. You shouldn’t even require a dictionary.

Consider this simple alternative:

Who will I be when I grow up?

That’s more like it.

Take it a step further — remove the confusion of Time — and ask:

Who am I now?

Remove the money factor entirely and ask yourself:

  • What would I do if there was no reason to make money?
  • If everyone’s needs for basic survival were provided for, what would I spend my time, my energy, and my attention doing?
  • What would I have to share?
  • Who would I be?

The answer, again, to all these questions is always: You.

You are what you love.

You are never going to be anyone else. You are always in the process of becoming you. If you have another agenda, you are misguided. If you are waiting for another Path to emerge, other than your own… Well, I’m almost as sorry as you are to tell you there isn’t one.

You already have everything you need to complete your unique Mission — to become the reason you incarnated — there is nothing wrong with you, you aren’t missing anything.

The Path only leads to you. It’s a simple matter of perspective — you feel Lost because you’re looking in the wrong direction.

Stumble upon the one thing at which you can not fail. Find the pride and discover the excitement that come from knowing that not only can you accomplish your mission, no one else can.

When this Answer no longer satisfies you — ask another Question.

Can I just tell you this brought a great jolt of insight. I realize I have been examining every tree, trying to find “the one” that was the most representative of me. It has also been why I have been so frustrated determining what path I should take/do/be because no one tree quite “fit” right. Now I need to reexamine my “unique collection of stuff” and go about expressing that in my own own. It’s about time! I hear the angels sighing. :o)

This is a great, thought-provoking article, and especially useful when we are on holiday for “Labor Day.” Perhaps we need to change the focus of our labor and do more introspective searching for who we are now rather than constantly thinking about providing for the future. Thank you for this insight.
