How do you sense the presence of entities like spirit guides or attending angels? What are the patterns and forms your guides take that indicate they are responding to you?
The key to developing your sense of their presence is to make a mental note of how you feel and then look for a pattern. Each spirit entity feels different from another. Also, the general patterns of feelings, thoughts, or other phenomena may be unique to you — don’t expect your personal experiences to necessarily resemble what another person reports.
Communicating with Spirit
You may inititiate divine communication as a form of prayer, meditation, dreaming, or a common everyday activity.
This shouldn’t be a “one time” activity — you don’t maintain relationships with a single introduction… You will benefit tremendously from integrating your dialog with spirit as an on-going component of your daily life.
Keep in mind, you are not praying to any of these entities — spirit guides are messengers, direct go-betweens with God / the Source / the Creator. You are God, so on a very basic level, I believe you are always soul-searching — connecting to your highest Self.
Call on your guides by name, ask questions, and pay attention to the way you feel immediately or soon after.
Angels seem to be more likely to manifest in some physical way: an all-over emotion, or it could even be a particular physical sensation. Sometimes, you may experience something external in your physical environment — such as a faint white flash of light, an “orb” caught out of the corner of your eye, or you suddenly notice a change in temperature or the quality of light…
Many people report inexplicable smells — like a sudden whiff of a flower or perfume that has no obvious source. (It’s my personal opinion that many of the manifestations associated with ghosts are actually the presence of angels. How do you tell the difference? Again — I’m being redundant — it’s about how it makes you feel.)
Don’t limit yourself to expectations of “super-natural” or extraordinary experiences — if you ask your perception of God, your Higher Self, your personal guardian angels, or your spirit guides to help you with a particular question or situation, the answer you receive can take an almost infinite number of forms in your daily life — from a “gut feeling” to something like a book that you are drawn to in a store, a channel that you flip to on the radio or television that seems timely, an email from someone you know, an interaction with a total stranger, a billboard you pass while driving, a song lyric that comes out of nowhere and sticks in your head… A number sequence that pops up again and again…
Pay attention to your emotional response to anything that seems like “meaningful coincidence” — the form that the message may take can vary so greatly, and can “look” like a coincidence. The best way to tell the difference is ask yourself about the feeling it gives you and the timing — does it FEEL like you just received an answer to your question?
Your spirit guides are slightly different in the way they communicate — they are more likely to feel like parts of your own thoughts, the “still small voice” inside you, a whispering or sudden flash of inspiration, dreams, gut feelings, intuition, hunches, or instincts.
Spirit guides also put information in your path in the form of books or the discovery of web sites — even something you see on TV, a song on the radio — or a lyric that’s stuck in your head.
Note feelings; look for patterns.

Dreams can be a wonderful way to heal and teach us more about ourselves. I have actually healed some of my incest issues in a dream when I didn’t know how to do the healing in my “awake” state of mind. When I woke up, I knew exactly what the dream was telling me.

Okay, for me, I see the number 33 everywhere I go. I always thought is was something say, and this sounds stupid, that I was going to die at that age. My guide informed me that every time I see that number I should pray. That’s it! A reminder to pray. And considering you asked for a sign, and you got an ID card with nothing more than the guardian angel prayer, sure seems to me that your guide is trying to communicate with you. As for the green beetle, I will have to think about that one. That baffles my mind. Start talking out loud to your guide, name them if you want. My guide loves when I talk to him, OUT LOUD. Not in your head. Ask for more signs, start looking (not too hard). Don’t just walk out your front door straight to your car and get in. Take in everything around you. That’s how I started. And don’t get upset if you feel you are getting nothing. You will.

Actually, I have a question. I was wondering if there is a book out there that lines up smells with spirit guides and or messages. I have been smelling burnt plastic twice now – once in the bathroom of my business and the other time in my bedroom at my home. Or, if anyone can tell me “who” this is and “what” the message is….?

I communicate with my spirit guide by feeling a sensation in my forehead or behind my eyes. allot of pressure one day it got to strong and my head started hurting. I have tried to listen to him but i find it difficult. I don’t know if they’re my own thoughts or his. I have started the automatic writing tactic, that seems to work really well. I have also found a way to tell what he is saying to me. I ask a question, and place my finger on the key that would spell the answer for example “yes” or “no”. if its not that kind of question, I’ll run my finger on each key, waiting for the pressure in my head then I’ll slowly type the words he wants.
I have found it works on my cell phone too. lol

I have been able to feel tingling sensations on my skin for as long as I can remember…on my head, arms, face, legs–at any given time…sometimes it’s persistant, other times it’s not. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s someone letting me know they are there…when I was a child I’d wake up in the middle of the night because I could feel someone trying to pick me up around the middle…after a while it would happen so much that I stopped being scared of it. I’ve also always had dreams that happened later in life, and still have dreams now that are the kind where an event is happening right at that moment and I’m witnessing it. I can see it on the news the next day. I’ve also had a vision before.
I came across this site while looking for answers to a particular dream I had 4 years ago about a woman. In this dream, I was in no particular place…there were no real surroundings…no space, no time. A somewhat elderly, grey, slender black woman was there, and deep down inside, I knew I knew this lady. Without physically saying it, she told me her name…Bessie. I remember hugging her. She hugged me back, and I distinctly remember her patting me on my head while she said, “You have seven.”
I desperately wanted to know what she meant by that. I knew she meant it in the sense of time, but I guess with us being in an environment of no time and no space, it had no bearing–OR she didn’t want me to know. Without asking her physically, I inquired what she meant…but she refused to tell me. I woke up after that, knowing that was not a frivolous dream.
To this day, I’m still not real clear on what she meant, but I’m thinking she meant seven times, which can be interpreted as seven years. That seven year mark from that dream will be 2011. I was born on the 11th day of the 1st month of the year…and from my meager findings, maybe 2011 is supposed to be a year of importance having to do with lightworks.
One other thing I wanted to mention: Someone who is watching you does let you know they are with you. They let me know, when not touching me, by sending dandylion seeds on the wind. Everytime I see a dandylion seed cross my path and there are no dandylion flowers anywhere in sight, I know someone’s near me. And sometimes, every once in a blue moon, I will also smell this indescribable smell…it’s like a cross between sweet and acrid, and it takes over your entire nasal passage for only a few seconds. I always thought it was something from birth that I was unconciously remembering. Who knows.

Dandelion seeds are a powerful personal symbol for me — definitely part of my magical, visual vocabulary. I chose to include a dandelion image as the header on Spiritual Blogging because they represent Manifestation, Broadcasting Intentions, Creativity, Projects, etc.
So this a really cool signal that resonates with me. It reminds me of the little stray feathers you find from time to time, which many associate with confirmation from angels or totem bird spirits…

I come from a yoga background. You may already know that in yoga system, 7 signifies 7 most important chakras (wheels or vortices of energy) in our energy body along our physical spine starting at the genital area and going all the way up to the crown.
I read that year 2012 is supposed to be year in which earth’s ascension/transformation becomes rapid and all lightworkers are supposed to be working to increase the vibratory rate of all beings on this planet so that they can handle intense spiritual energy that is being bombarding the planet..

Lately I haven’t been getting as many (or any) dreams or visions of my guides, with just their thoughts and feelings of their presence. I want to know if that is a good thing or bad thing. I guess, in a way, it helps to solidify my belief in them if I have no hard proof of them (and with even less) though think of them as a much more integral part of my life than before. I seem to be told things now a few seconds or even minutes before they happen and I get myself into a strange or irrelevant conversation or situation, and then another mind in my head would point out to me an important correlation between what ever is being discussed or revealed, and something that I have thought of or heard of before. It is hard to explain, because it is such a vague description of such a broad range of events.
They still give me the silly and funny thoughts.

If it makes you feel any more confident, I have close to zero conscious awareness of my dreams. Clairvoyance, visions, intuitive imagery is not my strong suit at all. I tend to see auras more than anything else you might categorize as visually psychic…
Feelings and vibes are perhaps the most likely, most powerful, but most overlooked response most people claim to have. Whether it’s “bad” or “good” is not quite the right question, I feel… Your experiences will be unique to you, stronger in some intuitive formats than others (usually a few types will stand out); the forms may also be stronger in certain areas at different times; you will likely grow or develop in some abilities…
Work with developing what you get the most of — or, request information in a particular way, if you require it.
Fully expect that your spirit guides do indeed have a sense of humor.
Oh my gosh, yes…I too have trouble remembering my dreams a lot…though I usually remember the just of them and then forget it soon afterwards. I only remember very vivid or remarkable or ….wonderful dreams.
Yeah, I usually have to try some what hard to be able to have a quick conversation with my guides in my head, and like you, I too don’t see anything like guides, angels, spirits, etc…just sometimes I see lights flash, or “splurges” of colour and light swim past me or on the walls. It all kind of angers me in a way, I feel very impatient and wish and pray that I was like some people whom you hear about: who, if anything, pray that they did not see these things.
But, I am growing/developing in certain areas like you suggest, in that I can better differentiate what is my thoughts and someone else’s. And, what makes me very excited, is that I sometimes see things happen (or get my guides’ thoughts telling me it will and so forth) a few minutes or seconds before it does, or I think of something, and who ever I’m talking with/to will say exactly what I was thinking, and exactly how I thought of it.
And like always, they give me confidence in myself … they do not seem to mind me not being able to see them as much as I do, and like what you have suggested, they say I should work with what I got. Other things I ask for “will come later”.

Nicholas and Slade, if you are interested in remembering more of your dreams, I learned in a dream class a few years ago to state the intention that you want to remember your dreams when you wake up the next morning. State this intention just before going to sleep each night. Also, put a notebook and pen by your bed so that you can get it as soon as you wake up. Many dreams we forget because we get up to fast in the mornings. If you have the pen and notebook close you can write your first thoughts down when you wake up before you have a chance to forget the dreams. Do this before you get out of bed.
I have read somewhere that we all dream. Not remembering them doesn’t mean you aren’t dreaming. I go for long stretches of time where I don’t remember any of my dreams. Then I will have a period of time where I remember 1-3 dreams every night. I will occasionally have a dream that lasts all night long. I will wake up and go back to sleep and go back into the same dream again. Those are rare. I have a lot of classroom dreams where I don’t remember what I learned but I wake up aware that I was in a classroom all night long.
I wonder how much of our astral traveling is remembered as dreams?
ATTENTION – someone please tell me the meaning of this . Im 17 and ive had a crush , but it feels like love . On someone , i dont know if they fell the same . So the other night i was laying in bed thinking about the one i love and my alarm goes off at twelve o clock and starts playing time after time by eva cassidy . It was weird cause the lyrics were coincideing with what i was doing – thinking about my love . The beginning of the song is like ( I lay in bed and the clock ticks and i think of you , flashback memories of a time almost left behind ) it was weird help was this a hint or something?

What I like- or one thing I could surmise from quick read overs of these sites is that 11:11, or seeing these numbers- seems to be more common than you might think. I listened to Coast to Coast once and it was mentioned as well by a guest. It does seem to have a universal link somehow, perhaps a raised consciousness people are experiencing. I will admit that even speaking to people about some of my personal experiences (finally) and not fearing people thinking I am ‘nuts’ or ‘deluded’, etc… instead of receiving a negative backlash I find a lot of people interested and eagerly sharing their own stories and spiritual moments. Pretty cool! I am not sure if these experiences have been around all along or just that we are entering a climate that allows us to share more freely- regardless it seems like more people are sharing raised consciousness and that’s what counts!
I feel compelled to seek out other people’s stories (i.e. reading comments on here; I rarely read comments on most boards:) not only to learn but take comfort, too. We’re connected. It’s all too easy to forget that in the daily grind of things.

ever since my grandfather died in 1985 i have been ableto feel his spirit every so often and even being able to fee; other spirits i would like to know more about spirits and why i can feel my grandather,grandma,uncle even one of our cats we had before she got sick and passed away.
On a number of occasions over the past 20 years I’ve seen orbs of flashing light. I’m not sure if it’s just one entity, or if it’s different ones at different times. The only way I can think to try describe them is to say that If you’ve ever held a coin on its edge, then flicked it and watched it spin, they have a similar blurry motion. However, it’s more like what would happen if the coin wasn’t made of silver, but instead its faces consisted of the black and white yin/yang symbols. They seem to quickly flash from white to black to white, almost too fast to distinguish each color.
They’ve always appeared unasked, usually at times of great stress in my life, and they’ve always instantly brought me a peace beyond measure. I never tried addressing them directly, assuming they came of their own accord when they sensed I needed their help. However, I was recently at a crossroads in my spiritual development, and decided to ask them explicitly for direction. The following day I came across “Who Am I? The Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi” online. That single document has since led me to greatest period of spiritual growth that I’ve had in the past twenty years.
I don’t know if the entities have names. However, what I’m sure they do have is my eternal gratitude, not just for the times they’ve brought me peace when I so needed it, but for leading me to a source of such deep spiritual insight.
It is interesting to come across this site. I am in my late 40s, and since my early 20s have had conversations with what I now believe are my spirit friends/guides. When I ask for guidance or understanding it comes my way, but also, it is just like me having a conversation with myself. It took me many years…and growing faith….to believe and realise…it wasn’t myself when I initiated these conversations. My feedback is not directive, but is often reassuring……words I frequently here are ‘all will be well’. I have never once been ‘let down’….and it is this which has further consolidated by faith over the years.
I was with my mother when she died recently, and in the hours before her death, I saw a bright flash go across the ceiling above her bed. I wasn’t sure how to explain this, but information on this site would suggest an angel?

Hi, I’m glad I found this site becuase I’ve been trying to figure out what to do since I’ve become clairaudient. At first I thought it was just a crazy dream but that’s how it started. I heard a beautiful voice of a man he said “This is John”. I’m assuming that he’s my spirit guide, his voice was like that of a professional voice over. Since then I’ve heard a variety of voices just saying such things as “Hello” in a variety of tones some sounding like Alvin & the Chipmunks, one voice even sounded like he had larengitis, with other voices saying “Good Night” and “We Near”. I’m also seeing a slice of beautiful blue light by my collar bone which I’m assuming is my aura and could this is verification that I’m opening up to hear spirit. I usually hear spirit jvoices just before, and during sleep or early waking. I’m trying to figure out how to be more consistent and build my trust in these occurences. They kind of freaked me out buy I’m trying to let it come which is why I’m glad I found this site. If anybody has any direction or tips to help this be a great adventure I thank you.

The Professional Voice Over – very interesting. Now that you mention it, this is exactly how I would describe some of my earliest clairaudient experiences as a kid.
The Squeaky Voices – I have also heard of other people who experience these “chipmunk” voices; that description seems to particularly appear in association with angels and spirit guides.
The times when you seem to have the experiences – such as just prior to sleep and immediately upon waking – are also consistent with other clairaudients.
Of course this can “freak you out” when it first happens – absolutely anyone can startle you when you’re not prepared for it. So push past that initial discomfort and proceed on faith that your experiences are shared and corroborated by other people.
Begin keeping a journal of these experiences to help you establish patterns and explore potential meaning and significance.

Hi Everyone,
I would love your input on something. I was dating a guy for a few months and we broke up two months ago. I can’t help thinking that he was the one for me, but at this point I’m not sure what I can do to fix it. Anyway, since the beginning of the end for us, I have been getting weird “sign-like” occurrences on a regular basis. Weird things, such as looking for his address on my computer to mail something, then shutting it down…the following week when I went to look for something else, the page came up with his name and address already in it…but I never typed it in there. Also, songs on the radio that they don’t normally play on the radio…weird commercials with words written across the screen that have significance to him and me…including one that said “just believe in it” . One time, I had gone to the movies with my friend and looked up to see just two cars parked on the street, in a strange area (many parking spaces in plazas and no businesses or housing near where they were parked); one of the cars was exactly like his and one was exactly like mine…same colors, same models, same everything.
Anyway, one of the ones that sticks with me happened last week. I’ll cut to the chase…I had a dream of being in a restaurant alone…I was talking to some people and in the background was a girl in her late teens/very early 20s…she had bright blonde hair and bright blonde eyelashes. her hair was straight and pulled back in a ponytail. She didn’t belong in the restaurant…she wasn’t eating, wasn’t at a table, wasn’t with anyone. Anyway, someone asked me about the guy I was dating and I replied. Just then, the blonde girl said (with her head bowed…all I saw was the top of her head and eyelashes) “He’s the one” I said “what did you say?” she raised her head and looked me square in the eye and said “You know he’s the one, right?” I got rattled and said “yeah, um I don’t know…” There was more to the dream, but that is the part that really sticks out to me…could this have been a guide giving me a message? Or, is it just my mind trying to believe something? If it was a guide, she didn’t tell me how to fix it, although I’ve asked each night since then…Does anyone have any input???

Jonnae- I really appreciated that comment as well. How fascinating. I have had a few dreams too where I just *knew* the ‘stranger’ before me i.e. had a comfort and familiarity with them. I suspect they were either guides or ancestor spirits.
Either way it’s amazing how we can connect to them in our dream state.
Desika- ah! THANK YOU! I have been so overwhelmed with reading about various ominous doomsday type scenarios for 2012 that your explanation truly makes me feel better. And it’s rather something I look forward to seeing. What an exciting time to live in..tenuous in many ways (i.e. the economy, the disastrous War machine chugging along, etc..) but this gives so much hope. That’s something we all need.
Finally – Slade, WOW! Re: the feathers. So funny. I regularly hike and spend much time outdoors. I walk pretty much everywhere so it seems I notice a lot of feathers in my path. Even in the city where I spend much of my time; for some reason I just always looked at them, smile and think ‘oh, cool’ and then later think well, it’s just a feather. So perhaps this is just a way of my angels or guides saying ‘hi!’? I never heard that theory. I learn something new here all the time:)
Ah! back .. one more thing. I noticed Steve mentioning the orbs.. I have seen them but not all the time. I WISH I had clauraudient ability like Slade and Pam and some others here (ahh! how neat that would be) but I am happy that I have been able to see some orbs. The first time was @ 5 years ago. I found an old driver’s license of my grandfather near the washer/dryer in the basement when I was packing my parents’ stuff to move. I was there alone. My mom came home and told me “your clothes are done from the dryer- the buzzer went of’ I said great, but I would never put my suit from work in there (I changed into my own work clothes and laid it on a chair) Sure enough, the suit was in there. No idea how. Anyway, later that night I was locking up and saw a large blue orb come towards me. It was so unexpected as it was my first time seeing it and I screamed! I am mad now but I was scared, I’ll admit. I saw a white one near it.. I ran out of there fast.
Anyway, I have seen blue ‘lights’ almost dance playfully near where my infant was sleeping. I was not scared then, though (this was recently). I very frequently see almost a flashing ‘strobe’ light just out of the corner of my eye. This happens in places where other light sources have been ruled out or just not possible (i.e. a passing car, etc..) and it’s very sudden and very bright. Kinda neat- I’m not sure what that is, probably not the same as an orb though.

Slade thanks for your suggestions. I’m keeping track of my interactions to see patterns and any value to what has been said. I also spoke to an intuitive friend who’s been teaching classes at the local spiritual book store. She made recommendations about opening chakras when you want to receive communication and when to close them to help with getting a quiet night of rest. My communications have still only been one or two words that are audible or maybe there’s more and I have to build my concentration. But the thing I want to make sure is that who I’m hearing from is of the highest vibration. I ask for the white light and ask that only the highest and best to come thru. I don’t sense anything negative. I’ve asked for identification but no names yet. Is this something that takes time to get names or some kind of identification? Any more helpful hints from any one would be useful. Thanks!
Hi, i think i have met my spirit guide. i feel someone touching my hair alot, and especially my leg alot too. my right one especially.
i used to be frightend, because i didn’t understand, i thought i was being attacked. but now i feel no fear, and feel him around me often. i heard the name angelo, but don’t really know. so i assume this is his name.
If he wants to talk or say something, i will be jolted awake while trying to sleep.

The Universe and your spirit guides can communicate with you, but if you don’t DO something — take action — to follow the signs and messages you’re receiving you can never know.
Start with the simple, obvious actions you can take. It may only require an email or a phone call to discover that he feels the same as you.

Your protective work with the white light and your intention to establish communication with only the most benevolent entities is fine. As you said, you don’t feel anything negative — a “negative” entity requires negative vibes like breath. PLEASE don’t spend too much energy worrying about negative entities — I don’t speak about them here because I offer them little to no attention — follow my example.

I generally lump the strobes and the orbs together as similar phenomena, or a variation on the same kind of experience. This is just my experience, but if I had to separate the two as distinct types of entities, I’d have to say that orbs are more likely to be angels, strobes or bright sparks are “lower” spirits.
I often see what I would describe as “air colored lightning bugs.”

Thank you for the input. It has been on my mind recently. In fact, I went to see a “famous psychic” about it today, who told me that he isn’t the one and that I am “making” these signs happen. I don’t understand this. Can you shed some light on this for me?
As far as doing anything about these signs…I did do one thing. I had asked my friend (who recently passed away) for guidance with this issue, figuring she would appear in my sleep with some message for me. When I woke, I had no message. Then, I checked my email and there was one email in my box…for a concert for a band who he and I both like. Turns out, the concert is being held in the hometown of my friend who passed away, which is also close to where he lives. I felt like that was her telling me something. So, I will go to the concert…not knowing the purpose, but going to enjoy the show.
However, I’m confused because this psychic is supposed to be so great…and she cost an arm and a leg…but she was completely sure that he’s not the one. Although she didn’t tell me much about him…and she was completely off on my career…I just don’t know. Any input???

I’m sorry that you didn’t have a good experience with this “famous psychic,” but I obviously can’t really speculate much further on that with the limited information here in the comments.
I would at least need to be given the opportunity to do a reading of my own for you, and then you might find confirmation, a point of comparison, or I might retrieve additional details/explanations that make more sense to you. I might entirely refute what this psychic told you… Who knows? It’s pure speculation at this point.

i don’t know what this comes under but a lot of the time just when i am on the verge of sleep,eyes closed etc but i am aware of surroundings and noises etc i see lots of faces that seem to come and go.

A while ago I wanted to get in touch with my spirit guides and know their names so that when I pray and talk to them, I can have a name for which to call them by and almost imagine them from. My main guide, I believe is a spirit who comes as a girl named Marcy with brown eyes and blond hair, and with a personality very compatable with me.
At my work (I’m a cashier) I keep encountering a lady who’s so funny and nice etc, and we’re complete strangers out of many being friends. Every time she comes to where I work, for some reason she bumbs into me when ever she comes, and I work part-time and sporatically but for some reason when she’s there, I’m there. And of coarse we always laugh and just chat, of the 100s of customers I get she’s really different then most. Today I said when I saw her “you know, we’ve never formally introduced ourselves before..my name’s Nick…” and her name was Marcy.
I dunno, maybe just a co-incidence.
I really wish I could be clairvoyant and see and hear my spirit guides, but for the most part I’ve seen them in a few rare dreams and sense a trail of thought in my mind, separate from me and communicating with me, but not a clear distinct voice heard through my ears. I wish there was a way to allow me to see and or hear my guides with me all the time, through out my entire life.

Thank you for sharing it. I often suggest to others that they be on the lookout for the appearance of their guides’ names, signs, or symbols in physical situations such as you’ve described.
I don’t know of any clairvoyants who see their spirit guides all the time, in a constant way; clairaudience is rarely experienced as distinct, loud, external physical sound through the ears — the intuitive senses are subtle frequencies experienced in the interior.
Your dreams and trains of thought are exactly the mechanisms your guides use to communicate with you on a daily basis.

i tried the other night to get a name for one of my guides she had been drawn for me by a lovely lady whom i sat for as she draws peoples guides and as soon as i saw the picture it was like a knowing. But as for the name i was just lying there before i went to sleep and thought of my guide and the first name that popped into my head was Aria. The next day where i was working which is relief work in childcare centres there was a little girl whom i was drawn to she has a lovely smile and her name was also Aria[not sure of the spelling of her name] but every time i interacted with her i thought of my guide.

You know, I’m always thinking and observing the world around me, and imagining what may be, but is not certain, such as where I’m standing as it was in the past and in the future. I think of my life much like a novel, or a movie, and use the way that I’ve been inturpreting everything in my writing and in my spiritual contemplation…with my words to others. I sometimes feel sad in a way that much of what I experience in my mind and how I absorb my surrounding stimuli becomes forgotten and lost, yet I also feel a sense that my spirit guides and angels (and perhaps other spirits too) experience the world through me, and therefore are able to constantly be intwined with my mind and thought process (as the situation may be for everyone else and their respective guides and angels). I always think about all these things and concepts which are just too difficult to put into words. Yet, I believe my guides and angels understand.
With regards to my last comment, I sometimes tell myself that if guides, angels, spirits etc don’t have a physical body, why would they have the form of one, why would pictures capture an image for? How can a thought or soul be manifested in a physical form or image? It doesn’t make much sense….but at the same time, why not? Spiritually, I have come to accept that as a human, my own mind will not be able to contemplate or properly understand. None of us will, perhaps it that way for a reason.
We live in the human condition, but that is how we are trying to learn and exist by, with many limitations…we are here to learn our lessons with these limitations, as well as develop a yearning to go beyond them. The minds of our souls change the moment we are incarnated, so that much of our past memories and knowledge of the world be dormant, and that we must try and comprehend experiences and lessons in this physical reality through the human condition.
As a fetus only knows and can imagine the world of its mother’s womb, a human can only percieve and understand the physical universe. That, in spirit form, we are opened up to a whole new reality that we can only guess about, but never imagine through the human condition.

My guess as to why spirit guides should look like anything or have any kind of physical appearance, is that the human mind needs something to picture (or hear, or imagine). It’s a translation/interpretation thing, and part of how your brain/psyche makes sense of things, and their appearance has its symbolic reasons or its own message to it.
Or at any rate, that’s what my Spirit Guide says.

My spirit guides get my attention by breaking things, including me. When they know that I am engaging in self-destructive behavior, as I have been doing for the past few weeks, they very actively seek my attention.
They broke a brand new dog collar, an alarm clock, and the pipe under my kitchen sink all within the past 24 hours.
I found this post by searching for people who may have had similar experiences. This “grouping” of events is a common mode of communication for my guides.
In July I fell down some stairs and sprained my ankle and my foot, and then closed my finger in these incredibly heavy basement iron doors within weeks of each other. When I went and visited a long time family friend and psychic and arrived in a cast she said, “Well someone is telling you to slow down!”
