Numerology - Calculate the Meaning of Your Name

How to Calculate the Meaning of Your English Name According to Numerology

I ran across this exercise in the book Write Your Own Magic by Richard Webster. I can’t recall who the original author of this English Numerical system IS — I’m recreating the following Table and Examples from my own notebooks.

This system was adapted from older written languages to work with the English alphabet. The process works like other Basic Numerology — individual letters and characters in a word are expressed as a number; the numbers are added together, then reduced to single digits 1 - 9.

There are two exceptions: you do NOT reduce double digits — 11 and 22. In Numerology, 11 and 22 are considered to be Master Numbers.

Numerical English Alphabet Table

English Alphabet Numerology

Soul Urge and Expression - Two Levels of Meaning

Vowels : reveal the soul urge of a name
Consonants + Vowels : reveal the expression of a name

You calculate the Vowels and Consonants separately. The reduced number corresponding to the total of the Vowels –alone– is the soul urge; the soul urge added to the consonant reduction gives the full expression of the name.

Easier to grasp with examples:

Here’s the system applied to my name SLADE
Numerology Example Name Slade
Using the Table above, write the corresponding number for each vowel in your name on a line above the letters. Now, write the number for each consonant on a line below the letters.

Add the vowel numbers together in top line:
example: 1 + 5 (the vowels in my name A and E) = 6

Add the consonant numbers together in the bottom line:
example: 1 + 3 + 4 (the S, L, and D in my name) = 8

The Soul Urge of my name is the one digit vowel total — 6

To get the Expression of my name, I have to add the vowels and the consonants together, and reduce to one digit.

In this case, 8 (vowels) + 6 (consonants) = 14. Reduce the 14 (1+4=5).
So, my name’s Expression — 5

Meanings of The Numbers

1 — independence/attainment
2 — tact, diplomacy, intuition
3 — creative self-expression, joys of life
4 — limitations/restrictions, system, order
5 — freedom/variety
6 — service to others, responsibility
7 — introspection, analysis, spirituality
8 — material freedom, power
9 — humanitarian, concern for others
11 - illumination and inspiration
22 - master builder, unlimited potential

According to this system and these interpretations, my name Slade, has a soul urge of 6 - service to others, responsibility; the expression of my name is 5 - freedom and variety.

I thought the name meanings were very basic, but I spent hours one afternoon last year calculating the soul urge and expression of the names of everyone and everything of significance in my life — I was actually surprised by how accurate, even if simplistic, the meanings were.

*Note: I calculated variations, such as my full name, by treating all three names as one. I also applied other meanings I already associate with the numbers, and with various meanings I found in online research — to add some nuance, or depth to the meaning layers.

I went about this two ways. I used Drake as just one name and came up with:
Soul Urge 6, Service to Others/ Responsibility
Expression 3, Creative Self Expression, The joys of life

However, I also used my birth/legal name which I use on all legal documents and it comes up as:
Soul Urge 2, tact, diplomacy, intuition
    Expression 5, Freedom, variety

Both have some truth to them. I’ve found however that energetically, the Essenes had a system that I find a bit quicker and just about as accurate. It is a free program, quickly downloads and is extremely easy to use. You just type in your name and it gives the energetic meaning. http://www.2near.com/edge/cabalistic/ is the address you can use to download the free program.

Hi Slade! I tried the exercise, and I had a lot of fun, and I’m extremely intrigued. I have a couple of questions…

Could you say a few words about what “soul urge” and “expression” mean?

Also: does “Y” count as a consonant or a vowel? Or does it depend on how it’s used? (For example, if your name is “Yuri”, Y is a consonant; if your name is “Lilly”, Y is a vowel.) In my trials below, I assumed it was a consonant always.

Also: I noticed that you counted the “E” in “SLADE” as a vowel, even though it isn’t pronounced at all. I actually agree that that’s the best thing to do, but I can’t really articulate why. Could you speak to that?…

    For my own names:
    5…..5 (SOUL URGE: FREEDOM/VARIETY)
    JEFF
1 66…4…9 9 (EXPRESSION: HUMANITARIAN, CONCERN FOR OTHERS)

    5 5 13 9 …5 (note the same as with “Jeff”)
    JEFFREY PAUL LILLY
    1 669 7 7 3 3 337…1…6 (SERVICE TO OTHERS… RESPONSIBILITY)

I decided to try “DADDY”, since that’s the name I hear most these days; presumably the meaning of “DADDY” applies to everyone with that title?…

    1…..1 (SU: INDEPENDENCE, ATTAINMENT)
    DADDY
4 447..1…2 (EXPRESSION: TACT, DIPLOMACY, INTUITION)

And just for fun I decided to try Apollo:
    1 6 6 …4 (SU: LIMITATIONS/RESTRICTIONS, SYSTEM, ORDER)
    APOLLO
    7 33 …8…3 (CREATIVE SELF-EXPRESSION; JOYS OF LIFE)

    Drake,

    Thanks for the link!

  4. Slade on March 12th, 2007 1:33 pm

    Jeff,

Could you say a few words about what “soul urge” and “expression” mean?

I don’t remember this being explained very well in the book where I originally discovered it.

If I were to translate and express the concepts in astrological vocabulary, I’d say that the “soul urge” is like a Sun Sign/Core, with the “expression” like the Ascendant.

Does that metaphor work for you?

I think it’s meant to emphasize the synergy of raw material and form.

does “Y” count as a consonant or a vowel? Or does it depend on how it’s used?

Good question. I’ll follow your lead in this, as I didn’t run across the Y as vowel in any of the names I analyzed. I would probably go with the usage or context. If Y is a vowel, treat it like a vowel…

    I guess?

    Patterns
I was most interested to see if there are patterns among those who read and comment here. I noted for example that ALL the pet names in my world shared the “joys of life” attribute.

Of course, I also have an on-going motivation to explore and uncover deeper levels of significance in the language we use, whether we’re aware of it or not.
This little game may only be a few levels above “He loves me, he loves me not” kind of thing, but I am fascinated with the idea that even the simplest forms of divination can resonate.

Since all language is dynamic - evolving from ever branching sources - it seems that the patterns and shades of meaning - even if forgotten or not consciously applied - still keep being carried up and through…

  5. Debra on March 12th, 2007 1:58 pm

    Debra

6 -soul- service to others, responsibility

3 -expression- creative self-expression, joys of life
    ““““““““““““““““““““““““““
    Twink

9 -soul- humanitarian, concern for others

    5 -expression- freedom/variety

I did my given name of Debra and also
    a chosen name of *Twink*.
Many of my friends know me by that name.
One that I shortened from Twinkle.
A name that I choose for myself at a time
when I realized many years ago, I was starting
    to ~shine~.

One has to ponder the difference between
our given name and a chosen one. ;)

    Very interesting indeed !!

  6. Adam on March 13th, 2007 3:45 pm

    1×1x
    Adam
    x4×4
    Soul = 2, Expression = 1, Consonants = 8 (Path to expression?)

    1×1x 1×19x xx7×5 1×5x1xx5x = 37 = 10 = 1
    Adam Adair Bryce Alexander
    x4×4 x4xx9 29×3x x3×6x54×9 = 42 = 8
    Soul = 1, Expression - 9, consonants = 8

My personal theory on numerology is much the same as this one, except that consonants play a larger role. (Yes, y changes to/from a vowel depending on its use.)

Also, your full given name and the name that you are known by have different meanings. You could use one of your middle names, or even a nickname, as the name that you are known by. For example, while I was in the military, we always went by our last names. Since my last name has four syllables, everybody just shortened it to Alex in casual conversation. For that time period, my ‘known by’ name would have been S=6,E=6,C=9.

The role that the consonants play is that it is the foundation where you build a connection from your soul number to your expression number… How you go about getting the two numbers to match up.

Of course, it is best to see this by example. Using my military name, my soul urge is 6, “service to others, responsibility.” My expression was also 6. I wanted to serve others responsibly, and I was doing something to serve others, so why would I need a foundation to build it up on? Well, because it just wasn’t fulfilling. I felt good about serving, but I didn’t feel great. I didn’t have a direction associated with my service, until I realized the foundation was entirely different. With a foundation of 9, “humanitarian, concern for others,” I realized that it wasn’t enough to me to simply serve people, I had to honestly care about them and improve their lives.

With my current known-as name, S=2, F(c)=8, E=1, I’ve found a different purpose. In fact, this matches just as well now as my military name did before. 2 = “tact, diplomacy, intuition,” 8 = “material freedom, power,” and 1 = “independence/attainment.” I want to be tactful, diplomatic, and intuitive, which are all words of peace… 2 in numerology is also a number of co-existence and relationships, as well as a “whole” state of being. (As anyone who has read my entry on why I blog can tell, it is easy to see how it matches with my chosen life purpose.) 1 is a number of singularity, of independence and individuality. I’m certainly being an individual by writing my own blog and getting a limited income, when it is much easier (some would say) for me to get a ‘normal’ job and follow the corporate norms. Unfortunately, I can’t support myself indefinitely by blogging… at least, now yet, which is where the foundation comes in. 8 is the number of the Taurus; all about money and power. It isn’t the abuse of that power, simply understanding it well enough that it comes without forcing it. As I apply more of what I understand about power (that is, the more power that you take by force, the more power that you owe, and the more power that you allow others to give to you, the more power that you can share with others), blogging becomes easier, and I have just gotten a job offer that promises to be very lucrative without taking away time from blogging.

Those are just my public names… They are what I show everybody else very easily. My full given name, however, is a different story. It is the overall guidance of my life…

    S = 1, E = 9, F = 8.

We’ve already touched on these numbers before… and I’m writing a nice long comment… so I’ll keep this part short.

Soul = independence. I strive to be a singular force in my own right. Expression = Humanitarian. By caring for others, I am able to remain independent. Foundation = Power/money. In order to remain independent and able to help as many people as I can, I must have enough resources to support myself, and maybe even some extra in order to reward those who assist me.

Wow, running these numbers again, I look like quite the politician… ;)

  7. Angela-Eloise on March 13th, 2007 6:58 pm

I was curious about the difference between a given and a chosen name too.

    My given name is Angela.
Soul urge - 7 - introspection, analysis, spirituality
    Expression - 4 - limitations/restrictions, system, order

My chosen Wiccan name is Angela-Eloise.
    Soul urge - 5 - freedom/variety
    Expression - 6 - service to others/responsibility

I interpreted soul urge and expression as similar to the way you use personal soul tarot cards. The personality card represents what a person projects to others, what others see, one’s persona or mask. The soul card represents the real person beneath the exterior. So, in this way, I see the soul urge like the soul card and the expression like the personality card. (I think I may blog about this.)

It’s really interesting to me that my given name indicates a person who is very turned inward and limited (which is surprising given that I’m actually very extroverted in personality) and that my Wiccan name is more free and expresses itself as being devoted to others. Perhaps what this tells me is that my Wiccan self is my real self finally finding a means or an avenue for soul-fulfilling outward expression.

  8. Slade on March 13th, 2007 11:16 pm

I see a pattern in the feedback from this exercise: a lot of Lightworkers have “Service to Others” as an element in their name.

    Hmmm…

    Adam,
Thank you for the detail about the Consonants, and what they represent. You know this stuff, man!

You = Politician - this resonates with me…

    Angela-Eloise,
I think Adam’s comment addresses yours better than I can; otherwise, I’d play the psychoanalyst and turn the question back on you -

What DOES it mean that one’s chosen name is different than the given?

I also like your explanation of the personal soul cards in Tarot; I think that beats my Astrology metaphor, fer sure, but it does echo the same concept.

  9. Damian on March 14th, 2007 12:41 am

    Slade,

This is the absolute truth and I can’t believ it myself but I was reading your article and rather than jumping to try my name I was pondering the other possibilities - that you could use this system to name your children!

So I got into thinking what was the best name that I could come up with that used the two power numbers of 11 and 22.

I tried a few combinations and then soon got bored and decided to see what my full name of Damian Peter Carr came up with.

    Guess what:
Soul = 22 (Master Builder, unlimited potential)
Expression = 11 (Illumination and Inspiration)

Damian on its own equals 11 too!

    How freaky is that.

    Take care.

  10. Robin on March 14th, 2007 1:36 am

Hi, everyone, I thought I’d share because my numbers have an interesting pattern…the system I learned is a little different and the entire birth name must be used for an accurate reading of your most basic self - vowels only = self-motivation (soul urge), consonants only = self image (what people see as a first impression), all letters = self-expression (your career, place in world etc.) My numbers:

    Self-Image= 66 or 3, creative self-expression, joy
    Self-Motivation= 33 or 6, service, responsibility
    Self-Expression= 99 or 9, humanitarian, compassionate

I don’t know what all the double numbers mean (in multiples of 3!)Whatever I’ve got, I’ve got it to the max. So… people see me as creative & joyful, and my soul urges me to serve humanity with compassion. There’s more to it, but it’s not far off. I like the thought that taking on new names is a sign that we’re evolving and adding depth to our characters.

  11. Slade on March 14th, 2007 1:32 pm

    Damian,
I love a good reverse-engineering exercise - sometimes working backwards through a series of steps or patterns reveals its own process. It’s interesting to see how connections are rarely one way streets.
I could certainly see checking the numerological possibilities as part of a naming process - if I’m not mistaken, some cultures take this concept very seriously - when I first started looking into numerology and names, I ran across a lot of Kabbalah sites/baby name sites, where it seemed that people were interested in authoring their children’s names with this in mind.
Another possibility, which I won’t have the opportunity to try, is scheduling conception with the child’s Natal Chart in mind. Whenever someone tells me their due date, I’m always calculating the potential astrology. I’ve never run across anyone who chooses to conceive at a certain time of year with this in mind. I wonder how the recent practice of scheduling induced labor affects the Chart, too.
Of course, there are so many variables - my parents conceived both me and my brother on the same day of the year (their wedding anniversary) and our birthdays are one day apart - yet we fell in vastly different charts. The year I was born, the sun was in Leo, and four years later, that same day fell in Cancer. Even had my parents planned this with astrology in mind - which they didn’t - it would’ve been difficult to control much.
Back to Names: I’ve had a lot of women tell me that the names they choose for their babies are communicated TO them, by the unborn child. Just like other intuitive feelings, such as maybe the gender. You’ve got the psychic parent-child bonds, the genetic or cellular memory, and with the mom, at least, information is being chemically shared.
I feel this kind of information may be more biological than we assume.
My mother told me that I named myself; she told me that my brother “recognized” his name (his name is Parrish) when she saw it printed on the back of a boy’s shirt in the mall and said “that’s my name.” Even more significant, I was only three years old at the time, I was with my mother when we saw the name, and I have a very vivid memory of the name.
How could I even have read the name? How could an unborn child? Now that I think about it… But the three of us share a similar psychic vibe (very different from my dad’s) and I feel like not only did my mother hear the recognition, but that I did as well.

  12. Slade on March 14th, 2007 2:06 pm

    Robin,
Thanks for sharing your 3-Fold interpretation. This makes more sense to me.

As for chosen re-naming: of course, this occurs in many cultures as a right of passage. Native Americans rename themselves at various stages in their lives - and did you know this - your totem changes, along with those stages.

Chosen names may seem more informal or intuitive in our culture: Bobby grows up and moves away to college and chooses to go by Rob or Robert. The reversal of diminutives that were given in childhood. Andrea starts being called Annie as a kid and then goes back to Andrea as a statement of distance from her child-self.

The concept of chosen names that correspond with religious vows is practically universal
    - Christian monks and nuns take the names of Saints.

In most of the neo-pagan communities I’ve been involved with over the years, it’s traditional to rename your magical self, or to choose a name that is only known by and used around members of that community.

    Most Wiccans display this.

The Radical Faerie community, with which I’ve had the most interaction as an adult, choose “faerie names” - which are usually unusual, dramatic, humorous, ironic, or shamanic. Animals, flowers, plants, colors, etc, are the most popular. There is also a pattern of elevating the words of common objects. When members of that community ask me if Slade is my faerie name, I say “I already had a faerie name.”

From a very early age - you can see it on my school papers and kid art - I have used different versions of my name as my nom de plume, depending on the context of the work - when signing art work and fiction, I use Eric Slade. When writing non-fiction, I use my full name Eric Slade Roberson. I have always been called Slade, since before I was born, but when my Dad asked me about a series of illustrated books I created in elementary school, and why they were by Eric Slade, he says my explanation was “Eric Slade is my Deep Name, and it is only me. Roberson is a lot of other people.”

I of course calculate the various meanings and see that the numerological variations correspond quite nicely with the intuitive way I use them.

I was actually a little stumped when I started publishing Shift Your Spirits - I never planned on publishing non-fiction at all, but I first entered web publishing through non-fiction as a web designer and instructor, writing purely instructional subjects in a professional/job context.

I already had fiction book deals and a literary agent under contract as Eric Slade, but then my Eric Slade Roberson self-published work actually beat the fiction to the public.

I had to make a conscious decision how to handle memoir - is memoir the Deep Personal Self or the Legal Public Entity? I came to the conclusion that this work is very much all of me, in a way that I never anticipated, and that my names are like Russian Dolls - names contained within names - the various levels of relationship to me personally is reflected in this. (I imagine this idea of formality/familiarity plays out in everyone to a degree - particularly so if you are called by your middle name).

I did consult this same numerology exercise as one of the factors when determining the authorship of Shift Your Spirits - I even discussed it at length with Mary, as this is part of Her project for me. Ultimately, it was important, if I was going to take this bold step, not to be seen as hiding behind a pseudonym here. Roberson belongs to a greater family of people - it is public and legal - it is the name that bears my educational degrees and my ordination - and this work - for all that it is a bit Out There at times, is an intensely public statement.

  13. Sojourner on March 16th, 2007 7:12 am

I recently found your site through Jeff’s and wish I had found it earlier!

This was exercise was interesting, because it gave me a little insight about the names that I use and in what contexts.

With the name that I prefer, Nichole, I got this:

Soul 2 = tact, diplomacy, intuition
Expression 4 = creative self expression, joys of life.

With just my first name and middle name, I got this:

Soul 9 = humanitarian, concern for others
Expression 7 = introspection, analysis, spirituality

With my full name, I got this:

    Soul 1 = independence/attainment
Expression 1 = same as above

What I find interesting is that all three of my names have potential alternate spellings (and I tried a few of them) so I realize that the results also have something to do with the spelling rather than just the name itself. I could have had different results. Have you read anything that covers the subject of the various spellings of a name?

  14. Slade on March 16th, 2007 2:19 pm

Nichole, welcome, I’m glad you found Shift Your Spirits.

Jeff Lilly’s Druid Journal is better than a search engine, I’m telling you. One of the coolest things about the Web is that any site has the potential to be your next-door neighbor…

I would have to say that spelling variations would be irrelevant. Most people probably think of spelling variation as a creative decision - which it is - but if you make those choices, they are made. The name is what it is - in terms of spelling, Kathryn is simply NOT Catherine. There may be a relationship between the names, certainly, but one is not the other.

My first name is Eric with a C, not Erik with a K - there are many things that are different about the two, and there are many things that are the same - however, I am not Erik.

    See what I mean?

July 23, 1969 - my birthday - in Astrological terms is not the same as July 23, 1970. Even one minute’s difference is a difference. Even July 23, 1969, 2pm in one part of the world does not reveal the same chart as the same moment in a different location.

Plus, ultimately, each birth describes one individual person. You may share a name with someone, same spelling and all that, but the combination of factors that describe YOU as opposed to someone else is always unique.

(I use a lot of Astrology examples simply because I am more fluent in that vocabulary. I am not accomplished at Numerology. Of course, ultimately, I am a dabbler in all things. So I welcome more knowledgeable commentary from others…)

  15. Sojourner on March 16th, 2007 9:05 pm

I was thinking it was something along those lines, but I wanted to see if what you had read said anything differently. Thanks for answering my question.

LOL I don’t know much about either Astrology or Numerology, but you explained it in a way that I can figure out the meaning. It basically comes done to what was termed “individual differences” in my pyschology research courses. Everyone has qualities/events that are unique to them, so there is no one that can be considered “the same” as another person, no matter how much their lives have in common. Each person will bring a different dynamic into the situation (whether it is research, social, homelife, etc) based on their unique circumstances.

  16. Jeff Lilly on March 17th, 2007 6:03 pm

Amazing! What does it mean, then, when a country decides to reform its spelling, as the Dutch and others have done in the 20th century? I know that many people simply refused to change the spellings of their names entirely, while others went along. And what does it mean when a language like English refuses to reform its spelling for 500 years, resulting in a huge discontinuity between sound and spelling?

At the same time — I refuse to believe that the sound of the name has no significance at all. I feel like this is ripe ground for a huge research project.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Slade. You have given me the means to apply my purpose, and have helped unlock the door to my own inner peace.

And, you are very welcome - I am honored that my email correspondence helped you in this way. The blog is a great general vehicle, but there are times when the one-on-one is required.

Email me, people! My light shines brightest as an uber-penpal.

  20. Adoka on March 22nd, 2007 9:05 am

Hey, Slade, found you through Druids Journal. You have a great site here. I was running a variety of names tonight. Most books say to use one’s birth name and to go with that but I’ve changed my name a couple of times, which is a long story in itself. Adoka seems to fit me nicely, its the name of my live journal and comes out as 8 as the soul number, 6 as the persona, and 5 as the total package. The name I go by in my daily life comes out 7-soul,8-persona, and 6 the over all number. Kind of interesting. There is another number involved in all this which is the destiny number which is found by reducing your birthdate. As an example mine is 7/5/1964 so my destiny number distills down to 5 which comes out in harmony with the name I use online. I

  21. Slade on March 22nd, 2007 12:07 pm

    Adoka,

Welcome, and thank you, sweet Cancer Sun person!

There is another number involved in all this which is the destiny number which is found by reducing your birthdate.

I’m glad you’ve included the Destiny / Birthdate calculation. This was the first personal numerology I remember reading about years ago. I couldn’t remember what that number was called.

My destiny number is a 1.

    Stephen,

You’re blessed with some awesome double-digit action there, man!

You are correct that other people are the key, that working alone will only take you so far… The Web is a powerful way to find one another.

You take those steps by commenting, sharing, participating, as you have here. There are millions of other places you can introduce yourself.

I wish I had room here to share with you all the stories I personally know of friendships and collaborations and incredible synergies that result from blog comments.

[...] Ever since I read Slade’s article a few weeks back about how to use numerology to find the meaning of your name using its letters, I’ve been extremely eager to explore the topic from the standpoint of sound. The exercise Slade describes is based entirely on spelling; but you can also imagine doing name divination directly from the sound of your name. The two are not the same — especially in languages like English and French, which have spelling systems that are simple and perfectly designed for the way the languages were spoken six hundred years ago. 39. Salem on June 11th, 2008 10:51 pm

I have done this exercise before, but it’s been quite a while, and it wasn’t necessarily with those meanings in mind…but as I well believe, there’s a reason for everything and now I’ve come back to it again.

Something interesting to note from my experiment this time. I have gone into a little bit and noticed different trends and patterns and wanted to share my take on them and possible meanings behind them…

I consider that I have had many names for many different roles throughout my life.

In my occult studies, in dealing with shadows, I come up with SU - 3 & EX - 5. In the part of my life I am seeking to create new practices and explore with freedom different things.

In my Craft studies, the first name I chose and the one that I have always used as a default comes up with SU - 4 & EX - 3. I seek to get past my limitations through creativity and things that bring me joy.

In my personal tradition the name I use = SU - 6 & EX - 5. (Which is also the same for the nickname that I chose when I moved to college). I seek to serve through freedom.

The pen name that I have used the longest = SU - 1 & EX - 9. I seek independence through humanitarianism.

My original pen name = SU - 11 & EX - 9. My illumination is for the concern for others.

I can see where all of these things seem relevant to me in the aspects of my life that they are involved, and I also see how things have changed.

My birth name comes out to: SU - 4 & EX - 6 (for my full given name), and then SU - 9 & EX - 4 (for my full given name after I was married). I notice that before my goals were different: I found order through service, whereas now I use humanitarianism as my system/order.

Then I looked at just my first name and then the nick name that I have used for the last 5 years. The former produced: SU - 3 & EX - 11, the latter: SU - 6 & EX - 5. I was mastering my creativity through illumination (which I can take to mean that I was inspired by my Muse). And now I am seeking to serve others through my found freedom/or through finding freedom.

All in all applying things in the fashion that you are connecting the Soul Urge and the Expression is an interesting means of finding some other meanings and perhaps the contemplation of that may prove to have further meaning. There is an oracle I have that has phrases associated with each card and putting the cards together makes a sentence which with contemplation one can draw an answer.

    :D

    Salem,

Great contribution to this post — thanks for sharing.

I have a question for you — the oracle you mention at the end of your comment sounds excellent — what oracle is that?

  41. Salem on June 12th, 2008 1:51 am

Karma Cards by Monte Farber. It’s also good for learning more about astrology on the slide.

For Stephen: from comment dated April 10

    My birthname is 11
    my shortened name is 9
my previously married name(which I kept) is 9
    My birth month is 11
    My birthday is 22
My full birthdate is a 9
my full name combined is 22.

    We should illuminate together!

    Slade,

Love Shift Your Spirits!!! Thankyou for sharing your gifts! I’m a yoga instructor currently studying energy medicine with native Alqonquin Shaman. Wanted to share my serendipitous findings with you…
Check this out~ talk about alignment: My name by birth is Jennifer= 9 (humanitarian; concern for others). Now get this: my yogic spiritual name is ONG KAUR KAR… you guessed it- same no.9!

    Keep up the awesome work!

  44. John (alias) on March 23rd, 2009 11:55 pm

i had to mention something that I noticed. Myself and my two closest friends all have an expression of 3. here it is in a chart-like form (without names)

    myself - soul 9::expression 3
    friend 1- soul 6::expression 3
    friend 2- soul 2::expression 3

this indicates (to me, at least) that one of two things are true:

    A) your expression is directly related to your friends
B)somehow, the friends you will make decide your name and your expression.

I am more inclined towards option A.

  45. Jan on March 24th, 2009 6:17 pm

I love it. I went by my full name of Janice (6/6) until 1984 when I adopted just the Jan part (1/7). Shortly afterwards, I started actively seeking therapy, healing and a deeper spiritual connection. Up until then, it was all about service to others!

  46. Eileen Shute on December 27th, 2009 6:13 pm

My soul urge and expression are the same as yours, Slade, thought that was interesting.

  47. Rebecca on March 1st, 2010 1:23 am

    11 and 8 -Rebecca-
This is very interesting. i have in the past year (after cleaning up my diet and working on healing) seen a flood of numbers. This is only part of my “awakening”. There is so much going on my husband has been a great
support. He first started seeing 1:11 often and i would joke w/him about it.
Now i see 222,333,444,555 many other numbers. Some fun experiences also…..thanks 4 posting the info.

Love, peace on your spiritual journey
