Did you know I almost lost Shift Your Spirits last week? Yeah. I wasn't just blowing everybody off or taking a little vacay...
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you might have run across my blow-by-blow agonizing.
My web sites were attacked and taken off line -- the same week we closed on our new house! Nothing like having your income and a decade's worth of work disappear down a black hole right before you make a huge financial commitment.
August 2014 was one of the best and worst months of my life. It was intense. I was a bit of a wreck there for a minute. I've since discovered we were all living through some kind of Guillotine Moon.
"We rarely talk about how New Moon new beginnings are preceded by an ending, but we gotta let the ending occur. Expect a grieving period. And remember, there is rebirth on the other side. Moments like this are good for us because they allow us to re-focus and re-orient ourselves in a brand new — New Moon — direction." -- Diane Booth Gilliam
And then I found these amazing mantras for New Moon manifestation by Chani Nicholas. (I know, hardly a heads-up here -- my sites were flatlining, dude -- but these are powerful affirmations for any time. If nothing else, maybe you'll understand what these recent experiences were all about. And September 9 2014 is the last Supermoon of the year. "Supermoon" doesn't mean much. It's just big and pretty. Go outside and look at it.)
You probably missed my drama because you were living through your own big Caterpillar-to-Butterfly scenario.
If you ended up somewhere better on the other side than where you were going in, then let's just call it an accomplishment and move on.
Nobody ever learned anything from things going smoothly, right?
I won't rehash the hell it took to get here. Be assured, all is well with me. Not only did I move to a new home in the physical world -- with the love of my life -- my web sites were moved to a new, more well-defended space as well. My entire life has been upgraded. I hope the same is holding true for you.
“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” -- Richard Bach
Why Am I Even Doing This? Almost losing this work made me aware of what it means to me and why I do it.
- I need to shift my own spirit.
- I need Shift Your Spirits in order to thrive.
- Shifting your spirits is an intentional consequence of sharing this personal exploration.
I don't write personal development because I have it all figured out -- I write it in order to figure it out.
I admit it -- I'm "selfishly" motivated:
- I like to do readings because I get to eavesdrop on advice from spirit. I get to hear what guides and angels have to say about any number and type of challenge.
- I love to do sessions with my professional intuitive students because of the unique ways they describe what they see, hear, and feel. I get to witness insights I never would have discovered on my own.
I retro-engineer my own survival based on yours.
Shift Your Spirits doesn't exist because I'm perfect and have all my shit together.
It exists because I'm not that person. Yet. Might not ever be.
But this is how I get closer.
And by bringing you along to share the experience, I have company, validation, and we learn from each other.
You are my mirror. Thousands of facets of a crystal mirror.
I need to talk to you. And I think I have figured out a way that more of us can talk more often…
Stay with me. It means the world to me.
