Advice for Discovering and Developing Your Intuitive Abilities Do you think you might be an intuitive?
How do you know for sure if what you’re picking up is psychic? You don't. Ever.
You can’t.
Not on your own.
You need someone outside the vacuum of your own mind to tell you.
Here’s what not to do: A lot of people think you become a professional intuitive by going off in your Ivory Tower, reading lots of books about psychic abilities, practicing a bunch of exercises with symbol cards or something, praying about it, meditating, then meditating again really really hard, like straining with your eyes shut, until you get real psychic.
Then, you come down from your Tower — Ta-dah! — and announce to the world you are ready to read everybody.
No.
The way to discover your practice, to understand what intuitive abilities you have, to find out where Spirit wants you to go... It's all through the practice of reading for other people.
The confidence you need to do a psychic reading is waiting for you on the other side of a reading.
Here's the thing: You need to read for people you do not know.
Or that you know very little about. “Relative strangers” make great beginner psychic test subjects. Like, online social media friends you’ve never met in real life.
When you read for strangers, there can be no question whether or not it's just your subconscious or your imagination.
You have no intellectual knowledge to pull from. All the information you receive is limited to intuitive impressions.
- Start with a few friends.
- Read for them.
- Then, ask those people to introduce you to one of their friends, someone you don’t know who would be open to having a reading.
- Next step, go online, like social media, Facebook, forums, whatever — maybe a spirituality group where you can find like-minded souls. And offer to do readings for a few people on there.
They can be halfway around the world. It doesn't matter. You can read someone from anywhere, and you can communicate your reading by email, phone, or Skype.
Ask all your practice clients for feedback. Say to them "I'm learning. I need constructive, compassionate feedback. Tell me what parts of my reading resonated with you."
You can do this on your own. But if you're serious about becoming a professional intuitive, you could use an Attunement to the Akashic Records, a mentor to guide you through the process, and a community of other intuitives to support you..
