We came with all the necessary equipment, you know. All the material we need to one day ascend -- it's the birthday suits we were issued when we arrived. That Jesus dude (among many others) has already dropped by and personally tested the technology. Maybe you haven’t explored all its features (don’t feel bad, few have made it that far in mastering this mortal coil) but the preview demonstrations of what we might accomplish with these bodies and their brains show a lot of promise!
In the meantime, I’ll be on a hilltop while we wait, cloudbusting — trying to practice what I preach — with the sun on my face, dipping my DNA in the big blue forever, watching for signs that we’ve managed to raise our world higher.
I have a feeling once we start to fly, we won’t need to worry so much about being grounded; we’ll stop obsessing over falling as soon as we adjust to weightlessness. Then we’ll see the potential of the Greater Direction — flip over when you’re finally floating and you realize that the sky is totally open, it goes All the Way.
Earth is a short trip -- we’re already on it -- and we’re about to run out of frontier. Maybe we’ll just reel in the Universe with our big invisible 'net…
We’ve already got love and rockets that run farther and faster than the armored ride so many of our kind seem hell-bent on taking — you know the one I'm talking about, the proverbial Hand-basket, the Elevator Going Down.
Cheer up, Sons of Adam, Daughters of Eve, look on the bright side! The journey's really just getting started — the lights are all over the sky if you want to see them — the Universe and the Heavens are that way.
